Field Airborne Support Technician
Must be available on an on‑call basis, with the ability to be on site or dispatched within two hours of the initial contact from Gulfstream. Recruiting in the West Coast Region – California exclusively.
Compensation range: $46.05 – $50.89 per hour. Final compensation will be determined by qualifications, experience and location.

Education and Experience RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required. At least 6 years of aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical and/or mechanical), including 2 years of Gulfstream aircraft experience. A'P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. Valid driver's license required. Ability to obtain a passport required.
Job Description- Perform aircraft maintenance and troubleshooting on AOG aircraft for Gulfstream customers.
- Be available on‑call and respond to dispatch within two hours.
- Communicate effectively with customers, Gulfstream flight crews, Tech Ops, business office, vendors, warranty, field service representatives and hangar operations.
- Act as the single point of contact between Gulfstream and the customer regarding aircraft schedule and return‑to‑service expectations.
- Perform AOG maintenance and servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems.
- Work independently and consistently to complete assigned maintenance and avionics tasks within quoted or standard CMP time with little or no supervision.
- Repair, maintain, install and troubleshoot mechanical and functional components (airframes, engine components, landing gear, electrical components, control systems).
- Coordinate inspection compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers and provide briefing during road trips.
- Label and secure customer property and equipment, store aircraft components safely.
- Follow SOPs and JSAs when operating ground support equipment.
- Operate and oversee special support equipment for removal/installation of major components.
- Order and receive all tooling and materials needed for service.
- Arrange shipment of all core units and tooling back to Gulfstream.
- Identify advanced troubleshooting techniques with Tech Ops assistance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Show advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for multiple aircraft models and systems.
- Show advanced knowledge of technical reference materials (maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, ADS).
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
