What You Will Do:
We are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer
- Antenna Test and Verification specializing in RF/Microwave and Antenna / Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Integration and Testing. The candidate must be comfortable working with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom test equipment to test hardware. Responsibilities will require leading a team of test engineers to validate Antenna (AESA) hardware. Tasks will include specification development, trade studies, hardware integration, and test and validation.
This opportunity is for a versatile Antenna test engineer possessing a blend of theoretical analysis, practical application, and hands-on integration abilities. The ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and RF related issues down to the antenna subsystem component level is desired. The ability to independently solve problems as well as work with the system/subsystem team is required. The candidate should be willing to work with leadership to identify antenna range upgrades and repairs.
Additional responsibilities will include providing technical, schedule, and cost inputs to management.
Domestic travel is required.
Qualifications You Must Have:- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- 8+ years minimum experience in RF/Microwave and Antenna/AESA Test and Integration
- Experience leading a team of engineers by developing schedules and creating test plans based on system requirements
- Test Development Experience in a Nearfield Range and able to architect test solutions and concepts for new programs
- Experience troubleshooting RF/Microwave Antenna/AESA hardware, software and build/process issues down to the component levels
- Experience with system issues associated with RF design such as Noise Figure, Linearity, S-Parameters, Antenna Gain, Antenna Directivity, Output Power, Side Lobe Levels, Rogue Oscillations, etc.
- Experience with common RF test equipment such as Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal & Pulse Generators, and Oscilloscopes
- Experienced at leading Antenna/AESA hardware integration and validation efforts necessary for sell-off of advanced Airborne RADAR systems
- Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Able to present technical results to Program Leadership and work with Cross-Functional teams
- Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action Investigations
- Experience working in a DoD environment
- Experience using MATLAB
- Knowledge in antenna calibration techniques
- Working understanding of architecture, design, and integration processes for Airborne Radar
- Antenna integration experience in both Near and Far Field Ranges
- Leadership experience including coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to lower-level professionals
The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
