Overview
Jacobs is seeking an experienced project manager to lead environmental site characterization and remediation projects for government and global private sector clients in southern California.
ResponsibilitiesLead the delivery of complex remediation projects, including strategy development, field and office coordination, and client communication. Manage multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards. Serve as the primary client consultant, representing client interests to regulators, property owners, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental engineering, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or a closely related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (PG) license.
- Experience managing large, complex sites involving multiple operable units, non-aqueous phase liquids, and contaminated soil, sediment, and groundwater.
- Proficient in conducting site investigations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, remedial designs, and optimization of remediation systems.
- Ability to identify and resolve technical, regulatory, risk, and land‑use issues impacting environmental remedy implementation.
- Experience providing client consulting services and representing clients to regulatory agencies, property owners, government officials, and other consultants.
- Familiarity with federal and California state regulations, including CERCLA, RCRA, UST, and related frameworks.
