CMTA, formerly known as AMA Group, is seeking an experienced Electrical Senior Associate who is strong with electrical design. This role will manage all Electrical design activities and aspects on our various projects, be client‑interfacing, responsible for all parts of project delivery, involved technically, and responsible for leading and managing all internal resources on each project. Strong electrical design and project management skills are a bonus.
Key Responsibilities- Focus on client interactions and meet the client’s expectations for electrical projects
- Be responsible for all facets of product delivery to clients and be accountable for client satisfaction
- Lead the planning, interpreting, organizing, scheduling, and managing projects through all phases of development
- Establish and monitor the budget, manage the project team, and prepare schedules to ensure efficient use of resources
- Oversee design development, production of working drawings, and construction administration on projects
- Maintain an overview of the project’s workload and commitments to successfully meet deadlines and balance resource utilization
- Act as Senior Designer on projects when necessary
- Lead and manage 1‑2 direct reports
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering required; PE highly preferred
- 13+ years of design experience as an Electrical Engineer in MEP
- 6+ years of Project Management experience preferred but not required
- Experience independently leading projects; strong understanding of project budgeting and preparation of proposals
- Experience mentoring less experienced engineers and providing engineering and design direction
- Excellent client‑facing and communication skills, with experience presenting to clients, end users, architects, contractors, and other consultants
- Expert understanding of the construction process and interpretation of construction drawings
- AutoCAD and REVIT proficiency
