Job Title
Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer
Job Responsibilities- Design fire sprinkler systems for commercial projects, including industrial warehouses, high‑rise buildings, and educational facilities.
- Prepare fire sprinkler layouts, fire pump layouts, and underground piping site plans for approvals and installation.
- Perform hydraulic calculations, thrust block calculations, and seismic bracing calculations.
- Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and civil teams to ensure design alignment.
- Develop material takeoffs and fabrication lists.
- Ensure compliance with applicable fire protection codes and standards.
- Conduct field surveys at project sites when required.
- Follow internal engineering standards and design guidelines.
- Maintain clear communication and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial fire sprinkler design.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 13; additional knowledge of NFPA 14, 20, 24, and related codes preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with Revit or Navisworks; understanding of BIM coordination and clash detection is a plus.
- NICET certification preferred.
- Knowledge of HASS is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
