Senior Electronics Test Engineer
Reporting to the Team Lead, Electronics Design, on the Hardware Engineering team.
Location:
Silvus Technologies Headquarters, West Los Angeles, 100% onsite, Monday through Friday.

Job OverviewThe Senior Electronics Test Engineer will actively participate in testing digital hardware for Silvus’ Stream Caster MANET product line.
Key Responsibilities- Use electronics test equipment to evaluate system performance, compliance and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Carry out hardware test execution and generate status and test reports.
- Define verification matrix and internal performance specifications.
- Review test result data to ensure actual performance meets expected requirements.
- Recommend improvements to existing test strategies and new test techniques to ensure system performance.
- Design test fixtures and calibrate test equipment.
- Understand proper use and handling of sensitive circuits and equipment.
- Rare local travel to the Irvine office as required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant hardware test experience.
- Hands‑on experience with bench‑top power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, and thermal chambers.
- Experience with digital interfaces such as RS‑232, USB 2.0, and 1000
BASE‑T Ethernet. - Experience validating power supply sequencing, efficiency, and ripple for DC/DC converters, LDOs and PMICs or similar power circuitry.
- Must be a U.S. Person (permanent resident or citizen) due to U.S. government contracts.
- Employment contingent upon successful clearance of a background check and drug test.
Skills and Abilities
- Test automation using Python or Lab View.
- Knowledge of PCB layout guidelines.
- Audio testing and characterization experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self‑motivated with ability to work independently and on multiple projects concurrently.
- Detail oriented and committed to quality.
- Collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment skills.
- Problem‑solving, data analysis, deductive reasoning and critical thinking skills.
Physical Requirements
- Office environment.
- Occasional exposure to heat, cold, and allergens while performing tests or demonstrations in the field.
- Lift equipment up to 20 lbs for setup of demonstrations and testing.
- Perform bending, reaching, kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.
- Walk/MOVE in the labs.
$105,000 - $140,000 per year.
