Senior Environmental Engineer (250013B)

• Provides support as needed for environmental compliance and permitting projects.
• Maintains current knowledge of existing and proposed regulations and provides technical support to refinery on topics related to environmental compliance.
• Ensures federal, state or applicable government reporting obligations (e.g., SARA 313 reports;
  Emission Inventories; NSPS Reports; MACT Reports; Annual Waste Summary Reports, AQMD Regulation Reports) are completed in a timely and compliant manner.
• Maintains operational records necessary to demonstrate compliance with assigned environmental regulations/programs.
• Assists with permitting tasks as needed, local AQMD experience is preferred.
• Communicates effectively with Engineering and Operations personnel to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits is continually achieved.
• Participates in on-call duty rotation with the department, knowledge of refinery units preferred.
• Ensures assigned Spill/Upset/Emission Event/Reporting requirements are satisfied in accordance with all applicable regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

The salary range for this position is $126,880 to $174,460 and represents Valero’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of expected compensation at the time of this posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of job‑related factors, including but not limited to the individual’s qualifications and experience.

• Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Wilmington Refinery, required.
• Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in Engineering or related Science degree is required.
• Five years of Environmental Engineering or related refinery engineering experience is required.

All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
