Lead GNC Engineer

A next-generation spacecraft company is seeking a Lead GNC Engineer to support mission design, spacecraft operations, and advanced guidance, navigation, and control development for upcoming orbital programs. This role spans the full mission lifecycle, from orbit design and ADCS integration through on-console spacecraft operations.

• Lead integration activities with ADCS and propulsion vendors.
• Perform orbit design, trajectory analysis, and mission planning.
• Develop and tune spacecraft control laws and pointing algorithms.
• Support spacecraft integration and hardware calibration activities.
• Transition into active flight operations and anomaly resolution.
• Coordinate mission planning activities with government stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to GNC architecture decisions

• 5–10 years of spacecraft GNC or ADCS engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of orbital mechanics and spacecraft operations.
• Experience with STK, MATLAB, Python, or similar modeling tools.
• Familiarity with propulsion systems and mission operations.
• Experience with spacecraft integration and hardware testing preferred.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments.
