Principal Power Electronics Engineer

Overview

We are working with one of the most exciting Space companies in the market that are looking for a Principal Power Electronics Engineer to design, test, and analyze custom electronic hardware for advanced aerospace applications.

• Design and develop custom electronic hardware for mission-critical applications.
• Lead hardware development from concept through production and operational deployment.
• Perform board bring-up, validation, debugging, and data analysis.
• Support qualification testing and reliability assessment for harsh operating environments.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, thermal, software, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams.
• Contribute to design reviews, technical trade studies, and integration efforts.
• Drive hardware projects to meet technical, schedule, and reliability requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 7 - 10 years of experience designing electronics for harsh-environment or mission‑critical systems such as aerospace, defense, robotics, automotive, or industrial applications.
• Experience with board‑level hardware design from concept through manufacturing.
• Experience with hardware bring‑up, validation, troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Familiarity with eCAD tools such as Altium, Cadence, or similar.
• Strong cross‑functional communication and collaboration.

• Experience with embedded software integration for hardware systems.
• Experience designing for reliability and manufacturability.
• Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: motor drives and controls, DC‑DC converters, switches, high‑voltage DC‑electronic systems.
• Experience working in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.
