This organization develops flight critical electromechanical switching and sensing products used across some of the world s most advanced aerospace and defense platforms. Engineers own products from initial concept through production, working directly with customers to solve complex engineering challenges where reliability, precision and certification are essential. This is a genuine new product development environment where your designs move rapidly into production.
The Principal Mechanical Engineer will lead development of aerospace pressure switches, electromechanical switches, pressure sensing devices and precision switching products, taking full ownership throughout the product lifecycle.
As the Principal Mechanical Engineer your responsibilities will include
- Leading clean sheet development of aerospace pressure switches and electromechanical switching products
- Designing precision switching mechanisms, sensing assemblies and mechanical components
- Driving qualification, environmental testing, certification and production release
- Leading product improvements, failure investigations and technical problem solving
- Working directly with customers, manufacturing, quality and supply chain teams
As the Principal Mechanical Engineer you will bring
- Expertise designing pressure switches, electromechanical switches, pressure sensors or aerospace sensing products
- Strong understanding of switching mechanisms, electromechanical design and precision mechanical systems
- Proven success taking products from concept through production
- Strong customer engagement, product ownership and technical leadership capability
The Principal Mechanical Engineer will become the technical authority for a portfolio of flight critical switching products, influencing future technology while developing hardware that flies on commercial aircraft, military platforms and next generation aerospace systems. Alongside meaningful equity participation, this role offers exceptional technical ownership and a clear pathway into Engineering Manager, Chief Engineer or Technical Fellow level positions.
