Mechanical, Plumbing & Fire Protection Designer | Los Angeles, CA
Join a Growing Engineering Team Designing High-Profile Building Projects
We’re seeking a Mechanical, Plumbing & Fire Protection Designer to support innovative commercial, educational, hospitality, and multi-residential projects throughout Southern California. This is a great opportunity for a motivated designer looking to grow under the mentorship of experienced Professional Engineers.
Responsibilities- Develop HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system drawings
- Assist with specifications, feasibility studies, and energy modeling
- Perform gas utility load calculations and heat load calculations
- Support building pressurization plans and HVAC controls development
- Coordinate BMS details and sequences of operation with design teams
- Assist during construction phases with RFIs, submittals, and site visits
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality design packages
- Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, Bluebeam, Energy Pro, and MS Office
- Familiarity with California Building Codes and Title 24 requirements
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- HAP Carrier, Trane Trace 700, and Hydratec experience preferred
