Senior Civil Engineer – Land Development

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer / Senior Project Manager to lead complex land development projects from initial planning through construction support. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer who enjoys managing multidisciplinary teams, building strong client relationships, and delivering high quality engineering solutions on a variety of commercial, residential, mixed use, and public infrastructure projects.

This role is ideal for a technical leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about mentoring engineers while driving projects to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage land development projects from entitlement through construction support while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Lead project planning, design, production, quality control, scheduling, and overall project execution.
  • Meet with clients to define project scope, prepare proposals and fee estimates, conduct site investigations, and establish project schedules.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while supporting new business development opportunities.
  • Supervise and mentor Project Managers and engineering staff, providing technical guidance and leadership.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and oversee engineering design throughout all project phases.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, regulations, and permitting requirements.
  • Support staff development through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Monitor project budgets, profitability, and resource allocation.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive civil engineering experience, including significant project management experience.
  • Strong background in land development engineering.
  • Proven experience managing projects from entitlements through construction support.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, client management, and team-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience preparing project proposals, fee estimates, scopes of work, and schedules.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience

  • Hydrology and hydraulics
