Electro-Mechanical Design Drafter

Join a growing engineering and manufacturing team developing advanced electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical products for aerospace, defense, and other high-reliability industries.

What You'll Do

+ Create and update engineering and manufacturing drawings using Solid Works and AutoCAD.

+ Develop work instructions, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and other production documentation.

+ Prepare complete drawing packages, including assemblies, schematics, specifications, and manufacturing documents.

+ Support engineering and production teams by ensuring documentation is accurate, current, and manufacturing-ready.

+ Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical issues.

+ Maintain revision control and ensure compliance with customer, quality, and regulatory requirements.

+ Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and documentation quality.

What We're Looking For

+ 5+ years of drafting experience in electro-mechanical, mechanical, or electronic products.

+ Strong Solid Works experience creating detailed models, assemblies, and production drawings.

+ Proficiency with AutoCAD and electrical schematics.

+ Experience creating BOMs, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.

+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

+ Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing environments.

+ Knowledge of AS9100, ITAR, and configuration/revision control processes.

+ Familiarity with PCB design tools such as Altium.

+ Technical training or education in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.

+ Ability to travel occasionally.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
