$140,000-$200,000 + equity + performance bonus
I am partnering with a fast-growing space technology company developing a first-of-its-kind system designed to deploy multiple payloads in space without relying on traditional thrusters.
They are looking for a Senior Mechanism Simulation Engineer
What you'll be doing:- Simulating complex electromechanical mechanisms and moving flight hardware
- Performing structural, kinematic and dynamic analysis
- Evaluating launch loads, shock, vibration and transient environments
- Supporting prototype and flight-hardware testing
- Comparing test data with simulation results and improving the design
- Working closely with structures, thermal, GNC, propulsion, manufacturing and systems teams
- 10+ years of experience in spacecraft, launch vehicle or advanced aerospace hardware
- Strong structural analysis, mechanism simulation or multibody dynamics experience
- Experience with tools such as NASTRAN, FEMAP, ANSYS, NX, Simcenter 3D, NX Motion or Amesim
- Knowledge of vibration, shock, structural loads and margins of safety
- Hands-on experience testing and qualifying mechanical flight hardware
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Structural Engineering
- Experience with spacecraft mechanisms, deployable systems, robotics, rotating machinery or complex articulated systems would be highly valuable.
- Candidates must meet the relevant ITAR eligibility requirements and be able to obtain a government security clearance.
