Lunar Program Valve Design Engineer
At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!
This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. We are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.
As part of a team of engineers, technicians, and specialists, you will design next-generation valves for the Lunar program. You will own components through the full lifecycle — from requirements definition and conceptual design through detailed design, development, assembly, verification, and operation. This includes performing first-order analyses to verify designs, modeling valves, propulsion elements, sensors, piping, and other hardware in CAD, and sizing components and selecting materials to analyze flow and structural integrity under pressure, vibration, thermal, and mechanical loads.
You will also work with suppliers and internal teams to procure, fabricate, and install flight hardware.
Bring your technical expertise and commitment to quality to help enable safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission is required.
