• Perform independent technical reviews, make recommendations, and provide technical guidance on complex or unusual engineering projects.
• Provide direction to resolve technical issues as requested.
• Provide technical expertise and advice to project leadership, and mentor/support production staff.
• Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation on complex or unusual engineering projects within the discipline.
• Coordinate technical aspects with client counterparts and teaming partners at the local leadership level for work within the discipline on complex or unusual engineering projects.
• Develop and advise on technical consistency within the discipline across processes and projects, ensuring the same standards and practices are applied.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 10 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering and 9 years of relevant experience.
• PhD in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.

• Use persuasion to communicate solutions while understanding the project goals and stakeholders’ interests.
• Demonstrate a vision for complex and unique challenges.
• Understand engineering principles behind design code requirements.
• Promote knowledge within the industry through authoring technical papers, presentations, and serving on technical committees.
• Understand, support, and influence multiple concurrent projects.
• Discover opportunities for technical improvements across the firm and collaborate with peers to share ideas.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in the field.

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• 15 years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) and Structural Engineer (SE) license.
• Experience with structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP 2000, ADAPT, RISA, etc.
• Familiarity with Revit, Autodesk, and Bluebeam.
