Your OpportunityStantec is seeking a transportation Structural Engineer with minimum of 5 years of experience in design of new transportation structures with a focus on highway, transit and rail structures including High Speed Rail. Experience in buried and underground structures is a plus. Experience in waterfront structures is also a plus but not required. Experience with inspection, load rating and rehabilitation of existing structures is a also a plus.
The successful candidate will be required to assist senior engineers in performing structural design, developing design drawings, design calculations and design specifications for various infrastructure and transportation related projects in California. - Uses knowledge of relevant structural engineering for transportation structures.
- Preparing design drawings, calculations, and details for various transportation projects.
- Design of new transportation structures and rehabilitation of existing transportation structures with close coordination with other disciplines.
- Review of shop drawings produced by fabricators and detailers, calculations performed by other engineers, coordinate with design team, site visits to address site issues and verify existing conditions, respond to request for information, oversee testing and monitoring programs.
- Assist with client coordination including coordinating deliveries, submittals, meeting, review comments etc. Clients include public agencies and private clients.
- Coordinating with other structural staff design departments and clients to complete projects to a high standard.
