Your mission

We are seeking a highly motivated Flight Systems Engineer to join our Mechanismsteam. You will play a crucial role in the system‑level design, bring up, debugging, and certification of distributed systems across the ES-30 aircraft. You'll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and certify the first commercial electric‑hybrid aircraft.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the design of essential systems by collaborating cross‑functionally with flight science, software, electrical, mechanical, and safety engineers.
  • Lead in‑vehicle debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of system‑level issues, across electrical, mechanical and software systems. Work across multiple teams to find and efficient solution.
  • Support bring‑up and maintenance of prototype aircraft, integration test benches, Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop environments, and virtual simulation platforms.
  • Create and execute system‑level integration plans for a complete system or subsystem.
  • Contribute to the software verification and validation strategy in accordance with DO‑178C objectives.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in system integration, ideally in the aerospace or automotive domain.
  • Strong understanding of real‑time operating systems (RTOS), communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, LIN, …), and system‑level integration practices.
  • Proficiency in Rust, C/C++, or Python for automation and testing.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and integration frameworks.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Nice to have

  • Passion for aircraft and electrification of the aviation industry.
Education
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
Base Pay Range

$113,000 — $238,000 USD
