About the RoleJoin Mini Med for a summer internship where you’ll do meaningful work, gain hands‑on experience, and make an impact on our mission to make every day a better day for people with diabetes. You’ll be part of a collaborative intern community, build your professional network, and gain exposure to opportunities that help you grow both personally and professionally.
Our summer internships are full‑time (40 hours/week), paid positions lasting 10-11 weeks. We offer competitive compensation, educational and social programming throughout the summer,as well ashousingassistanceand relocation support for eligible interns.
Interns may support one or more engineering areas based on business need and candidate background. Examples of work in each area are listed below.
R&D EngineerDesigns, develops, analyzes,troubleshoot sand provides technical skills during research and/or product development.
Designs studies to investigate specific life science questions withinfieldofexpertise.
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluates alternatives including cost and risk,supportability and analyses for total systems.
Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product toinclude:concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation,maintenance and disposal.
Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes
Designs,develop sand provides safety testing, repair, and maintenance of biomedical equipment
Ensures that the biomedical equipment is in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and quality control standards.
Researches, plans, designs, verifies,validate sand develops mechanical and/or electromechanical products and systems, such as metals, instruments, controls, plastics, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, resonance, hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.
Recommends various technology options or approaches for system, processes,facilityor program improvements in terms of safety, performance,efficiencyor costs.
Maybe responsible forthe transfer from R&D to manufacturing
Responsible for production support engineering with respect to testing methods, procedures, and problems; device specification and yield problems; minor redesign of devices and masks; analysis of customer returns; supplier related engineering changes andoptimizingdevice productionrelativeto cost constraints.
Assumes responsibility for device and/or internally produced or externallypurchasedcomponents aftertransferinto high-volume production and usually responsible for entire device manufacturing operations other than wafer fabrication.
Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.
Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipmentrequiredfor testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
Engineering Internships are based in Northridge, CA. All interns must reside in the U.S. for the duration of the internship.
