  • Perform calibration and service on MR medical equipment
  • Lead calibration of MR systems and upgrades with MR Field Engineers after GE Health Care training and on-the-job training
  • Serve as the primary GE Health Care customer contact throughout the calibration phase
  • Calibrate, test, and troubleshoot MR equipment during installation
  • Lead, troubleshoot, and complete calibration of designated MR systems and new product introductions
  • Maintain tools and test equipment and ensure they are calibrated
  • Communicate calibration status proactively with the Account Community
  • Maintain timely closure of service activities
  • Use GE Health Care escalation processes and collaborate with regional and national support on corrective action plans
  • Support local service teams with service calls, preventative maintenance, and field modification instructions when not scheduled for calibrations
  • Assist with or train less experienced MR Field Engineers
  • Work onsite at customer locations in the Los Angeles area and travel outside the area as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field; or Military Externship Program; or High School Diploma/GED and a minimum 4 years of experience servicing electronic equipment
  • Experience interfacing with internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based process
  • Experience with web applications and Microsoft suite of products
  • Must comply with vendor credentialing requirements
  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License
  • Willingness to be available after hours and occasional weekends for critical issues
  • Up to 50% overnight travel required
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not provided
  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods
  • Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity
  • Required color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception vision abilities
  • Must seek assistance from another GEHC employee for items greater than 50 lbs. when no lift aids are available
  • Soldering experience preferred
  • Experience working with project managers preferred
  • Experience reading blueprints and equipment schematics preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills preferred
