- Perform calibration and service on MR medical equipment
- Lead calibration of MR systems and upgrades with MR Field Engineers after GE Health Care training and on-the-job training
- Serve as the primary GE Health Care customer contact throughout the calibration phase
- Calibrate, test, and troubleshoot MR equipment during installation
- Lead, troubleshoot, and complete calibration of designated MR systems and new product introductions
- Maintain tools and test equipment and ensure they are calibrated
- Communicate calibration status proactively with the Account Community
- Maintain timely closure of service activities
- Use GE Health Care escalation processes and collaborate with regional and national support on corrective action plans
- Support local service teams with service calls, preventative maintenance, and field modification instructions when not scheduled for calibrations
- Assist with or train less experienced MR Field Engineers
- Work onsite at customer locations in the Los Angeles area and travel outside the area as needed
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field; or Military Externship Program; or High School Diploma/GED and a minimum 4 years of experience servicing electronic equipment
- Experience interfacing with internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based process
- Experience with web applications and Microsoft suite of products
- Must comply with vendor credentialing requirements
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License
- Willingness to be available after hours and occasional weekends for critical issues
- Up to 50% overnight travel required
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not provided
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods
- Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity
- Required color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception vision abilities
- Must seek assistance from another GEHC employee for items greater than 50 lbs. when no lift aids are available
- Soldering experience preferred
- Experience working with project managers preferred
- Experience reading blueprints and equipment schematics preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills preferred
Demonstrates expertise in calibrating and servicing MR medical equipment, with strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills to liaise with customers and internal teams. Proficient in maintaining tools and test equipment while ensuring compliance with vendor credentialing requirements.
