Onsite Coordinator – EV Propulsion Systems

We are looking for an experienced Onsite Coordinator – EV Propulsion Systems to serve as the primary interface between the customer engineering team and offshore delivery teams. The role will focus on technical coordination, requirement management, work allocation, issue resolution, design review support, and program tracking for electric propulsion system development projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong automotive product development experience, preferably in Electric Vehicles (EVs), E-Motors, Powertrain, or Electrified Propulsion Systems, along with experience managing global engineering teams and customer interactions.

Role and Responsibilities

• Act as the primary onsite interface between customer engineering teams and offshore delivery teams.
• Gather, clarify, and communicate technical requirements to offshore teams.
• Plan, assign, and monitor engineering activities to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Coordinate design reviews, technical discussions, and issue resolution meetings.
• Track engineering deliverables, risks, actions, and project status.
• Facilitate collaboration among design, CAE, testing, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
• Review engineering outputs before submission to the customer.
• Support change management, documentation, and engineering release activities.
• Escalate technical and project risks proactively and drive closure plans.
• Ensure adherence to customer processes, quality standards, and project timelines.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10+ years of automotive engineering experience.
• Experience in vehicle propulsion system, powertrain, or EV development programs.
• Strong understanding of automotive product development processes and engineering workflows.
• Proven experience working directly with OEMs, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Experience coordinating onsite and offshore engineering teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Electric Vehicle (EV) programs is highly preferred.
• Exposure to E-Motors, Battery Systems, Power Electronics, or Electrified Powertrain development.
• Working knowledge of CAD and PLM systems such as CATIA V5/V6, NX, 3DX Enovia, or Teamcenter.
• Familiarity with APQP, engineering change management, validation, and release processes.
• Strong project coordination and program management skills.
• Experience supporting global OEM or Tier-1 automotive customers.
• Ability to manage multicultural and geographically distributed teams.
