Struction Solutions is seeking a Structural Engineer Associate to support the design, review, and construction of building structures. In this role, you will prepare structural plans and reports, review work for accuracy and compliance, and provide technical recommendations throughout construction.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare and analyze structural design plans, specifications, estimates, and reports in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
Develop plans and specifications for concrete, structural steel, timber, masonry, metal, and other building materials.
Assist with the design and layout of foundations and floor, wall, and roof framing systems.
Review structural plans, calculations, and completed work for accuracy, constructability, and conformance with recognized standards.
Prepare quality assurance plans, feasibility studies, preliminary designs, cost estimates, and reports.
Review structural services provided by engineering consultants and architects, and recommend revisions as needed.
Conduct site investigations and prepare scoping reports and recommendations.
Evaluate soils data and environmental reports to inform foundation design recommendations.
Advise contractors, architects, engineers, and construction inspectors on structural issues during construction.
Monitor project status, recommend changes, and assist other engineering and design staff.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering, or a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a specialization in structural engineering.
At least three years of full-time, paid professional structural engineering experience.
Experience with school building construction.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification recognized by the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists.
