This role can best be described as a senior production music & custom Director for Sync+, with a strong focus on leadership, project management, delivery oversight, and operational coordination. You will be responsible for overseeing the briefing, delivery, and ongoing stewardship of production music, while supporting bespoke and custom sync-related music projects. The role ensures projects are clearly briefed, delivered on time, within budget, and ready for licensing and use.
Working with internal stakeholders and external production partners, you will help turn business and market needs into structured production activity le closely connected to music and creative output, this is primarily a strategic project management and operations leadership role rather than a hands-on creative role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end oversight of production music projects across assigned catalog areas, labels, territories, or repertoire.
- Direct the ongoing stewardship and development of production music catalog, with responsibility for maintaining quality, continuity, and commercial value.
- Coordinate bespoke and custom sync briefs, ensuring projects are clearly scoped, properly briefed, and delivered to agreed timelines, budgets, and standards.
- Help coordinate writer camps for commercial sync projects and production music clients, ensuring clear planning, communication, and delivery across stakeholders.
- Lead relationships with external production partners, including sourcing, onboarding, briefing, performance oversight, and ongoing supplier management.
- Oversee commissioned music projects such as covers, remixes, trailer-style adaptations, and other tailored recordings created for sync use.
- Develop and communicate clear project briefs, delivery requirements, and quality standards to support consistent, relevant, and commercially usable output.
- Support third-party catalog partners with project coordination, briefing, and production oversight where needed.
- Oversee outsourced production at a project, album, or series level, ensuring deliverables are complete, high quality, and ready for use.
- Monitor content readiness across assigned projects and catalog areas, including quality control, metadata completeness, and delivery standards.
- Lead catalog-level budget oversight and support broader production budget planning and tracking.
- Use market insight, customer demand, and performance trends to help shape production priorities, project planning, and briefing direction.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues affecting delivery, rights, contracts, or operational handoff.
- Identify and lead process improvements that help streamline workflows and support efficient delivery across the function.
- Act as a senior point of coordination for catalog management matters within the wider operation.
- Strong interest in music publishing, recordings, production music, and the sync market.
- Significant experience managing music production, content delivery, or related operational projects.
- Understanding of production music and custom music workflows from brief to license.
- Strong leadership, project management, and workflow coordination skills.
- Experience working with external suppliers, producers, or content partners.
- Experience in music supervision, label management, or closely related areas.
- Familiarity with audio and data management systems.
- Understanding of publishing and recording assets, including rights management, copyright and contracting.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while keeping stakeholders aligned.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working across a wide range of internal and external partners.
