About Sony Music Entertainment

At Sony Music Entertainment, we fuel the creative journey. We've played a pioneering role in music history, from the first-ever music label to the invention of the flat disc record. We've nurtured some of music's most iconic artists and produced some of the most influential recordings of all time.

From our position at the intersection of music, entertainment, and technology, we bring imagination and expertise to the newest products and platforms, embrace new business models, employ breakthrough tools, and provide powerful insights that help our artists push creative boundaries and reach new audiences.

In everything we do, we're committed to artistic integrity, transparency, and entrepreneurship.

Sony Music Entertainment is a member of the Sony family of global companies.

We are seeking a Manager, Campaign Operations to join a newly established function at RCA Records. Campaign Operations is the connective tissue between departments - tracking, surfacing, and flagging cross-departmental activity across the full roster to ensure that when a decision gets made in one room, every other team knows what it means for them.

Reporting to the Campaign Operations Lead and sitting within the SVP Commercial Partnerships organization, this role will own the day-to-day operational relationship with a cluster of departments, monitoring their workflows, lead times, and deliverables across every active artist campaign. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of how to work cross-functionally between departments, thrives in ambiguity, and brings the kind of diplomatic, low-ego energy that builds trust without creating friction.

What you'll do:
  • Department Relationship Management: Own the day-to-day operational relationship with an assigned cluster of departments. Learn their workflows, lead times, tools, and pain points. Become the person they trust to represent their status accurately.
  • Release Readiness Monitoring: Track workability status across all active releases. Surface gaps in clearances, masters, artwork, agreements, and delivery timelines before they become blockers.
  • Budget Visibility & Tracking: Monitor campaign spend against approved budgets across the roster. Surface divergence, flag overages, and track budget status in real time so that the people who own those decisions have full information. Campaign Ops does not approve or deny spend - it ensures the numbers are visible and accurate.
  • Cross-Department Flagging: Identify when an issue in one department affects another. Surface the connection, prompt the teams involved, and track resolution.
  • Meeting Support: Contribute to cross-department meeting preparation, transcript processing, and action item tracking. Help produce Goal Briefs and meeting notes for distribution.
  • Artist Briefing Support: Assist in producing artist briefings and prep packages for new signings and key roster moments. Compile information from multiple departments into a single, clear picture.
  • Data Layer Maintenance: Keep shared operational data current and accurate across Airtable and internal dashboards. Ensure department status is reflected in real time.
  • Escalation: When an issue cannot be resolved at the department level, route to the Campaign Operations Lead for consolidation. The team speaks as a unit.
  • Tool & System Awareness: Stay current on internal tools, Sony enterprise systems, and department-specific platforms. Surface what exists, who uses it, and where there are gaps or duplication.
Who you are:
  • Minimum of 3 years in the music industry, entertainment, media, or a similar field, with previous experience working collaboratively across various teams and departments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and competing priorities across a large roster.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. You can translate technical or operational information into clear, concise language for varied audiences.
  • Familiarity with project management or operational tracking tools (Airtable, Asana, Monday, or similar). Willingness to learn new systems quickly.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records. Comfortable tracking dozens of open items across multiple work streams without losing…
