Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $220,000 - $250,000

Learn More About The Job All For Kids seeks a collaborative, mission-driven, and growth-minded Chief Financial Officer to assume a pivotal role in the continued strategic growth of a high-impact, well-respected organization.

The CFO will be responsible for the overall management of the agency's $60M+ budget, development and implementation of the organization's financial strategy, and oversight of the Finance, Accounting, Facilities, and Information Technology teams. The CFO will be a key contributor within a close-knit Executive Leadership Team and will help shape organizational strategy as well as manage all financial aspects of the organization, including accounting operations and investments, financial reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, compliance and risk management, audit coordination, and tax credits and filings.

This position will manage a team of 15, with 4 direct reports.

Job Responsibilities

  • Be a strategic advisor to the Executive Leadership Team on all financial matters and growth plans, making recommendations to keep the organization financially sound.
  • Provide transparent updates on financial status to the executive/senior management team, Board, and staff.
  • Participate in internal planning for program expansion, ensuring alignment of program, outreach, and training plans with financial projections.
  • Manage relationships with board members, banks, donors, government agencies, vendors, and consultants.
  • Directly oversee Finance, Accounting, Facilities, and Information Technology teams.
  • Oversee budgeting, tracking of short- and long-term goals, and reconciliation to monitor progress.
  • Present clear financial information to Senior Leaders, Board, and Finance Committee.
  • Develop forecasting capabilities for data-driven decision making in a multi-program environment.
  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, reporting systems; ensure compliance, audits, and internal controls.
  • Prepare financial reports, outlooks, and forecasts; produce management reports and GAAP-compliant financial statements.
  • Evaluate and improve manual or low-tech procedures to increase efficiency.
  • Foster trust and collaboration across teams; build buy-in with stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance to engage and support staff while maintaining accountability.
  • Focus on talent acquisition and professional development.

Job Qualifications

The CFO will be mission-centric with a track record of leading financial, technology, and administrative strategy in a large complex organization. The role requires strong collaboration and the ability to coordinate across multiple functions.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a CFO, preferably in a nonprofit organization.
  • CPA strongly preferred; top accounting firm experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of senior financial leadership experience; non-profit experience preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
  • Experience with diverse funding sources and donor requirements.
  • Experience with external auditors, compliance, and regulatory oversight.
  • Strong communication skills with the CEO, Board, peers, and direct reports.
  • Proficiency in technology (e.g., Microsoft 365) and integrating IT/Systems to improve productivity.
