The PositionOur client seeks a Sr. SBA Credit Analyst in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will analyze and underwrite SBA guarantee loans efficiently, adhering to SBA standards, policies, and applicable laws. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with SBA Partners through collaboration, timely communication, and prompt inquiries response is essential.
This role offers a salary of up to $90K and a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities include:
- Spreading financial data for SBA loans, including ratio analysis and report writing on borrower’s ability to service debt, cash flow, and credit strengths and weaknesses.
- Ensuring loan packages are complete before submission.
- Reviewing SBA loans and suggesting risk rating adjustments if needed.
- Monitoring signed commitment letters and fees.
- Ordering third-party reports (appraisals, environmental assessments, valuations, etc.).
- Sending out credit covenants reminders for tax returns and financials.
- Preparing for SBA audits and PLP renewals.
- Communicating with lenders and borrowers regarding loan requests and questions.
- Participating in loan committees to provide relevant commentary.
- Complying with policies, laws, and regulations.
- Attending training programs as required.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Skills and experience include:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- At least three years of SBA credit and underwriting experience.
- Over five years of related finance or business analysis experience.
- Experience in SBA underwriting within financial institutions.
- Strong critical thinking, organization, interpersonal, and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
