Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise a control team of five members.
- Oversee the monthly accounting close for the expense control team, including the review and approval of accruals, reversals, and amortization entries.
- Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations for various prepaid, AP accrual, and tax withholding accounts.
- Analyze and forecast organizational expenses while managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice and expense reimbursement review and payment processing.
- Manage communications with vendors and colleagues on invoice, payable/expense accounting inquiries, withholding payments, and quarterly/annual state and federal filings
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited university
- CPA certification required
- Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- 10+ years of experience in expense control
- 3+ years in a management role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
- Experience in Financial Services, specifically broker/dealer
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of effective cross-departmental communication
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities efficiently
