Senior Accountant

Our client, a leading consumer/beauty brand in Los Angeles, is looking to bring on a Senior Accountant to support their expanding operations. This position offers high visibility, frequent interaction with senior leaders and external partners, and meaningful opportunities for professional growth.
The role is hybrid onsite 3 days in West LA.

• Develop and refine month-end close workflows, identifying process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen reporting reliability
• Supervise recurring reconciliations across cash accounts, payables, receivables, credit cards, banking transactions, and employee expense activity
• Prepare and review detailed balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, receivables, payables, prepaid assets, accruals, fixed assets, and payroll accounts
• Safeguard the accuracy of financial results through oversight of consolidations and preparation of GAAP-compliant internal and external financial statements
• Partner with business units to monitor departmental expenditures, analyze vendor-level activity, and provide financial visibility to support operational decision-making
• Administer end-to-end purchasing and payment cycles, ensuring proper controls, accurate data capture, and timely vendor onboarding and disbursements
• Contribute to audit support and strategic initiatives, including internal control reviews, risk assessments, and analytical projects
• Facilitate collaboration between Accounting and Finance by supporting monthly reporting packages, reconciliations, and performance analysis

• Minimum 3-5+ years of accounting experience within public accounting AND/OR consumer/retail industry experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a similar discipline
• CPA certification or progress toward one is strongly preferred
• Strong Excel capabilities and comfort working with financial models and performance reporting. Experience with ERPs such as Net Suite or Quick Books a plus.
• Sharp attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
