We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Director of Finance to lead our financial operations and reporting processes. This pivotal role is designed for a seasoned finance professional who is eager to make a significant impact on our organization by ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance, while also driving key finance and accounting projects. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior management on high-stakes initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, system implementations, and process improvements, all within a dynamic and innovative work environment that values teamwork and professional growth.
Responsibilities- Oversee the quarterly close process to ensure timely SEC reporting and successful audits by external auditors.
- Manage the chart of accounts structure and ensure compliance with title code controls.
- Lead accounting for joint ventures and subsidiaries, addressing individual reporting requirements.
- Facilitate acquisition accounting and integration efforts to support strategic growth initiatives.
- Direct intercompany accounts, eliminations, and royalty calculations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with Financial Planning and Analysis and Tax Departments to fulfill information requests efficiently.
- Serve as a signatory on company bank accounts, ensuring proper financial governance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in finance or accounting.
- Proven experience in systems design and implementation, particularly with ERP systems like SAP or Net Suite.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with executive-level personnel.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- CPA certification.
- Experience in public accounting.
- Familiarity with acquisition integration and revenue recognition principles, including ASC-742.
