Are you a strategic and tech-savvy accountant ready for their next challenge and growth opportunity? Our client, an innovative investment and private equity firm based in Los Angeles is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their growing team and help lead the team in partnership with the Controller and Vice President. This is a unique opportunity to step into a highly visible role, partner closely with leadership, and work within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
This role is onsite 4x per week in West LA.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow), ensuring adherence to accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS) and accuracy in reporting.
- Month-End & Year-End Closing: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial data and compliance with accounting policies.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and management of budgets, analyze variances, and provide detailed financial insights to support decision-making and cost control.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial policies, and industry standards. Coordinate with external auditors and manage tax-related activities.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee day-to-day accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring timely billing, collections, vendor payments, and payroll processing, while optimizing cash flow management.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate current accounting processes and systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement changes to increase efficiency and accuracy, including leveraging new accounting technologies and automation tools.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience working in both the public and private sector
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel

Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capability to collaborate across departments and present financial insights to leadership. - Organizational
Skills:
Highly analytical with excellent organizational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.
