Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining effective internal controls in compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role manages the month-end and year-end close processes, and works closely with leadership to strengthen financial controls and improve accounting processes.

This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Finance Controller

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving business operations and profitability
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and identifying opportunities for cost savings
• Design, implement, monitor, and maintain effective internal control systems for LG H&H and The Crème Shop to safeguard assets
• Ensure accounts reconciliations are maintained in good standing following internal controls requirements
• Regularly assess internal controls and recommend improvements to address risks and strengthen processes
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control
• Partner with payroll as necessary to ensure timely and accurate processing of employee wages

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA preferred
• 5+ years of General Accounting experience in CPG companies a plus
• Knowledge and experience in working with SOX and Internal Controls
• Knowledge of Integrated accounting/general ledger system such as SAP, JDE or similar
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills
