Introduction of Role
We are seeking a highly capable CFO / Senior Accountant & Cost Manager to take ownership of financial oversight across our active projects and corporate entities. This role is critical to ensuring disciplined budget management, accurate cash flow forecasting, and strong coordination with our external accounting and fund administration partners, including OHI.
This is a hands‑on role suited for someone who can operate both strategically and tactically building and maintaining financial models, managing project‑level budgets and cost controls, and serving as the central point of coordination between development, operations, and accounting.
The engagement will begin on a contract basis, with the expectation that this role evolves into a full‑time position as project volume and construction activity increase.
YourKey Responsibilities Include:
- Own financial oversight across all active projects and corporate entities. Manage project-level budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models.
- Coordinate closely with OHI on budgets, cash flow reporting, and monthly financials.
- Track construction costs, commitments, and variances for projects under construction. Implement and maintain cost controls, approval workflows, and variance reporting.
- Support development and operations teams with real‑time financial insights.
- Oversee investor‑related financial reporting in coordination with internal teams and external partners.
- Assist with capital stack tracking, funding schedules, and draw management as needed.
- Improve financial processes, reporting cadence, and internal controls as the portfolio scales.
- 7–12+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or CFO‑level roles.
- Strong experience with real estate development, construction accounting, or project‑based finance.
- Hands‑on experience managing budgets, cash flows, and cost controls for active projects.
- Experience coordinating with external accounting firms and fund administrators.
- Advanced Excel / financial modeling skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a lean environment.
- Strong communicator who can work cross‑functionally with leadership, development, and operations teams.
- Experience with construction cost management and draw processes.
- Experience supporting investor reporting and private capital structures.
- Background in hospitality or mixed‑use projects.
- Familiarity with project management and cost‑tracking tools (e.g., Northspyre or similar).
