Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $25.00 to $30.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities
  • Process daily customer payments across multiple methods and ensure they are accurately applied to the correct accounts.
  • Reconcile incoming payment groups and confirm that all transactions are correctly reflected in the financial system.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to short payments, missing remittances, and unmatched cash items.
  • Communicate with customers and internal teams to gather information needed to clear payment discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized payment records and support month-end activities through timely reporting and documentation.
Requirements
  • Ability to analyze payment variances, identify causes, and resolve issues with minimal guidance.
  • Proficiency with ERP platforms and strong comfort working in spreadsheets to review, validate, and reconcile data.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and consistency in financial entries.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with customers and cross-functional teams in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment while managing shifting priorities.
Qualifications
  • At least 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, cash application, or a related accounting function.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with financial systems and tools such as ERP software and Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve discrepancies quickly and accurately.
  • Experience supporting fast-moving operations with competing deadlines and deliverables.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to provide clear and courteous service.
