Forensic Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join the growing Commercial Litigation department. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing accounting operations, ensuring financial compliance, tax returns and providing strategic financial insights. • Prepare and examine financial statements for accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and regulations.
• Perform and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Conduct regular financial audits and ensure adherence to internal controls.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and financial analysts.
• Maintain and update accounting records and files with precision and attention to detail.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial laws, regulations, and policies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as an accountant, with a thorough understanding of accounting principles and procedures
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, Excel
• Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
  Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Professional certification such as CPA, CFE or CFF
