Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000
Sprint Ray is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance team and own the integrity, efficiency, and scalability of our receivables operations. This role plays a critical part in driving cash flow, strengthening controls, and supporting a growing, multi‑channel business that spans hardware, consumables, subscriptions, and customer programs.
The ideal candidate brings strong AR fundamentals, sound judgment around credit and collections, and a continuous‑improvement mindset. You will partner closely with Sales, Customer Support, Finance, and Operations to ensure accurate billing, timely collections, and a positive customer experience—while maintaining compliance with GAAP and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable Operations- Own end‑to‑end AR processes, including invoicing, credit memos, cash application, and customer account maintenance across multiple sales channels.
- Ensure accuracy of customer balances through timely reconciliations of AR sub‑ledger to the general ledger.
- Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities related to AR, revenue, and reserves.
- Lead collections efforts for past‑due accounts, including customer outreach, dispute resolution, and negotiation of payment plans.
- Review and evaluate customer credit applications; establish and maintain credit limits and ongoing risk assessments.
- Monitor and manage AR aging, identify risk trends, and proactively recommend actions to minimize exposure and improve cash flow.
- Calculate and monitor bad debt reserves and AR allowances in accordance with GAAP.
- Support revenue recognition processes and compliance with ASC 606 in partnership with Accounting and FP&A.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Support sales tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including coordination with third‑party tax providers.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Support, Legal, and Operations to resolve complex billing, credit, and payment issues.
- Perform reconciliations related to customer programs, rebates, revenue‑sharing arrangements, and promotional credits.
- Identify opportunities to improve AR processes, systems, reporting, and internal controls as the business scales.
- Support ERP enhancements, system clean‑up, and automation initiatives related to billing and cash application.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, credit, or collections
- Experience supporting a high‑volume, multi‑channel, or fast‑growth environment preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP, including revenue recognition principles (ASC 606)
- Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, or similar
- Advanced Excel skills (reconciliations, analysis, reporting)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- High attention to detail, strong ownership mentality, and sound problem‑solving skills
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally
