We are a high-tech, hypergrowth organization and are seeking a VP of Finance who will be a senior financial and operational leader responsible for building and scaling the financial infrastructure required to support production‑scale manufacturing, industrialization, and commercialization of next‑generation aerospace systems. Reporting directly to the CFO, this leader will oversee corporate forecasting, strategic planning, business analytics, manufacturing finance, cost management, inventory and supply chain finance, capital planning, and enterprise performance management.

The successful candidate will have experience helping scale a high‑growth manufacturing organization producing complex, highly engineered products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, long‑range strategic planning, and enterprise financial modeling processes.
  • Partner with executive leadership to evaluate strategic initiatives, capital allocation decisions, growth investments, and operational priorities.
  • Develop financial models supporting business expansion, manufacturing scale‑up, program investments, and new product initiatives.
  • Drive executive‑level reporting, KPI development, board materials, and performance analytics.
  • Establish financial frameworks that improve visibility into business performance and support data‑driven decision making.
  • Lead scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and risk assessments related to production, supply chain, and growth initiatives.
  • Provide actionable insights to the CFO, CEO, and executive leadership team regarding financial performance and strategic opportunities.
  • Serve as primary finance partner to Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations leadership.
  • Develop and implement operational finance processes that improve visibility into manufacturing performance, productivity, and cost drivers.
  • Drive financial oversight of production operations, inventory management, procurement, logistics, and supply chain activities.
  • Lead analysis of manufacturing efficiency, labor utilization, overhead absorption, capacity planning, and operational productivity metrics.
  • Establish robust cost tracking and reporting mechanisms across products, programs, and manufacturing sites.
  • Partner with operations leadership to identify opportunities for cost reduction, margin improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Support production ramp activities and scaling initiatives through rigorous financial analysis and business partnership.
  • Drive financial accountability across inventory management, working capital optimization, and manufacturing investments.
  • Establish financial controls and reporting processes that support operational scalability.
  • Build and lead a high‑performing finance organization spanning FP&A, operational finance, and business analytics.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop finance talent capable of supporting a rapidly scaling aerospace manufacturer.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and business partnership.
  • Collaborate effectively across Finance, Accounting, Operations, Engineering, Program Management, and Executive Leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
  • Significant experience supporting complex manufacturing environments.
  • Deep expertise in corporate FP&A, strategic finance, and operational finance.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing economics, supply chain finance, inventory management, and cost accounting.
  • Experience developing long‑range plans, annual operating plans, forecasting processes, and executive reporting.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with senior operational leaders in a high‑growth environment.
  • Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Proven leadership experience building and scaling finance teams.
Preferred
  • Experience with in aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial technology, advanced manufacturing, robotics, semiconductor, energy, or other highly engineered hardware industries.
  • Experience supporting organizations that scaled from development/prototype phases into commercial production.
  • Background in companies that achieved significant operational and revenue scale.
