The Real Estate Investing platform within Goldman Sachs Asset Management invests across the full expanse of risk categories and sectors in both equity and credit, with a focus on thematic strategies, acquisitions, development, platform creation, and special situations.

Goldman Sachs Asset Management seeks a senior investing professional to source and execute new real estate credit investments, specifically in credit origination at loan sizes ranging from $30 million to $500 million. The role is based out of Los Angeles, New York, or Dallas.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and drive the origination of real estate credit investments across diverse asset classes including industrial, multifamily, office, retail, and hospitality, as well as various financing structures such as bridge, construction, senior-secured, and subordinate debt. Cultivate and expand a robust network of relationships with sponsors, brokers, borrowers, and other market participants to generate deal flow. Monitor real estate market dynamics, identify emerging trends, and proactively identify investment opportunities.

Lead all aspects of the investment process including deal sourcing, underwriting, financial modeling, structuring complex transactions, due diligence, and preparing investment committee presentations. Negotiate deal terms and manage the closing process.

Requirements: A preferred track record in the Western United States real estate credit market. Extensive experience in real estate credit origination with institutional investors. Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling and deal structuring across complex real estate transactions.
