Who You’ll Work With
This role interacts with product development and modeling teams at the outset of projects, then shifts to working with teams on assumption and rate setting implementation.
AboutThe Role
This role focuses on pricing and development of innovative annuity products. You will research and design annuities across the Life & Retirement suite, implement assumptions, and determine risk/reward profiles through robust analysis. The work starts with baseline pricing to assess feasibility, then moves to sophisticated pricing model analysis.
Responsibilities- Price new annuity products, balancing profitability, marketability, and risk.
- Collaborate with product development and product management to optimize pricing with design.
- Perform model testing to ensure new products are implemented correctly.
- Produce analysis that achieves buy‑in from finance and risk partners on pricing outcomes.
- Support the development and testing of assumptions for new products.
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or other quantitative field.
- 5+ years of progressively more responsible actuarial experience with Life & Retirement Insurance products.
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries with goal of attaining FSA designation.
- Highly detail‑oriented with strong analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Access and Excel.
- Programming skill in SAS, Visual Basic, SQL, or C++ preferred.
- Experience with modeling software preferred.
Anticipated base salary range: $110,000 to $115,000 ary depends on location, skills, experience, and other factors. Eligible for discretionary bonus per incentive plan.
Work LocationBase office:
Houston. Subject to hybrid policy. May also be located in Woodland Hills, CA or Jersey City, NJ.
Up to 25% travel may be required.
