A Day in the LifeUnder the direction of the Sr. Credit Manager, the Credit Executive II will review credit applications, analyze relevant credit information, and structure requests to obtain final loan approval.
Credit Executive II is also responsible for preparing memorandums and credit analysis throughout the loan approval process with timely and accurate due diligence. The role includes coaching and mentoring other SBA Credit Underwriters, and some travel may be required.
What You’ll Be Doing- Review initial loan application packages from Sales to determine eligibility and additional required documentation.
- Structure loan package to fit within minimum requirements of available products.
- Apply knowledge of Business and Personal Tax Returns, Interim Financials, Bank Statements, etc.
- Make decisions on loan files (decline, suspend, or submit for approval).
- Run all background checks for businesses and merchants.
- Review third‑party reports (Credit report, Business Experian, CAIVRS, etc.).
- Set‑up calls and discuss file with client (initial interview).
- Review completed file for underwriting and ensure all information is received prior to underwriting.
- Underwrite the transaction and prepare package for third‑party approval.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient operation of the department and help make Lendistry the best place to work.
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience and in‑depth understanding of SBA, Commercial C&I, and real‑estate financing and closing procedures.
- Expert knowledge of SBA Standard Operating Procedures.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree;
Finance, accounting, or Business Administration focus preferred. - Ability to manage and underwrite complex transactions with limited guidance.
- Strong knowledge of financial services.
- Outstanding communication and relationship management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to travel, work flexible schedules, and cover different locations, if requested.
- Bilingual English‑Spanish preferred.
- Ability to structure and analyze complex commercial credit transactions.
- Sophisticated word‑processing and database skills.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and banking operations and regulations.
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical ability with active listening skills.
- Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines, including extended work hours.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $100,000–$150,000 annually. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for new hires for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by multiple factors such as job‑related skills, experience, and state of residence.

This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting (approximately 95%), repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It also may require occasional standing, lifting and carrying of 20 lbs or less, walking, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, and reaching above the shoulder.
