At EY, our Transaction Tax Practice focuses on the tax aspects of corporate and private equity acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, and capital market transactions. As a manager on the Transactions team, you will apply your knowledge to a wide range of tax areas, devising strategic outcomes for complex issues, including US domestic and cross‑border tax strategies.
Key Responsibilities• Lead workstream delivery and tracking of deliverable completion and project status.
• Participate in client working sessions and lead work streams planning, execution, closure.
• Manage engagement economics, implement resource plans and budgets.
• Identify and analyze tax risks and opportunities, advise on alternative tax strategies for acquisitions, dispositions, and restructurings.
• Plan, execute, and integrate transaction strategies for clients.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making skills.
• Project management and risk management focus.
• Client engagement experience in due diligence and structuring for private equity and strategic corporate clients.
• Tax risk identification and alternative strategy advice.
• Continuous process improvement and innovative solution development.
• Effective teamwork and leadership skills.
• US CPA or member of a US State bar.
• 4–6 years relevant experience in transaction tax, private equity, or corporate advisory.
• Experience in deal structuring, restructuring, and post‑deal integration.
• Proficiency in data visualization and storytelling.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Management or supervision of professional staff in complex technical initiatives.
• Experience in resource planning, budget implementation, and risk management.
• High‑energy in a fast‑paced professional services environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Comprehensive compensation and benefits package with performance‑based rewards.
• Base salary range for this role in the U.S. is $116,200 – $212,900; $139,400 – $242,000 for major metro areas.

• Hybrid work model: most external client‑serving roles work together in person 60 % of the time.
