As Analyst/Associate in the Direct Lending Portfolio Management team, you will focus on portfolio monitoring, valuation, analytics, and restructurings across Ares' direct lending strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

- Portfolio Monitoring:
Monitor and manage 15-20 assigned corporate debt and equity investments, tracking KPIs and key milestones.

- Valuation:
Perform quarterly mark-to-market valuations and assist with re-underwrites and amendments.

- Diligence Support:
Support deal teams with opportunity-level diligence on active investments.

- Reporting:
Develop and produce periodic and ad hoc reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

- Stakeholder Communication:
Hold lender calls, conduct diligence calls, and attend board meetings with portfolio company management teams and sponsors.

- Portfolio Analytics:
Analyze portfolio trends and track current market activities across the direct lending landscape.

The role enables significant interaction with deal teams, investor relations, accounting, finance, and operations. Strong financial analysis, credit underwriting, and communication skills required. Los Angeles-based.
