Loan Officer

RCN Capital is a national, direct, private lender with an office located in Los Angeles, CA. We are seeking a Loan Officer in the Los Angeles, CA area who will be responsible for identifying new, viable leads for asset-based real estate loans. The Loan Officer will work directly with the broker or borrower to establish their needs, identify a program that fits those needs, and qualify them.

RCN Capital works strictly with commercial mortgages backed by residential properties and provides a full range of asset-backed, short- and long-term loans from $70K to $2M.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Identify new customers for real estate, asset-based loans fitting company's criteria
• Follow up on leads generated through RCN Capital's marketing program
• Responsible for loan origination managing the loan through processing and underwriting
• Point of contact for follow up servicing after closing
• Collection and analysis of financial and credit data to assess customer need and identify the appropriate program
• Thorough knowledge and clear communication of all RCN products and services

Requirements:

• Must be living in the Los Angeles, CA area. Can be in office or hybrid work structure (combination of work in office and remote)
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients in person, over the phone, and through email
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Proficiency using MS Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
• Ability to handle a 30-50 loan pipeline efficiently
• Must be able to attend conferences and trade shows to represent RCN Capital to new and existing clients
• Must have at least one year of experience in professional sales
• Experience in construction based lending, real estate, hard money or private lending preferred

Education:

• Associate's degree, or equivalent, in Business, Finance, or related field required
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Business, Finance, or related field preferred
• Experience may be considered in lieu of formal education

Work Schedule:

• Full time
• Monday-Friday, 8AM to 5PM
• Hybrid work model - First 30 days are required in-office for training, 2 days/week in office after
