Description:
The Loan Closer/Funder is a full-time, on-site role located at Fidelity Mortgage Lenders office in West Los Angeles, CA. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing loan documents and closing packages, verifying loan terms and conditions, and coordinating with borrowers, brokers, escrow officers, and internal team members to ensure accurate and timely loan closings. The Loan Closer/Funder will manage funding wires and disbursements, confirm that all required documentation and compliance items are complete, and resolve any discrepancies before closing.
Daily responsibilities include maintaining detailed records, updating loan status in the loan origination system (TMO), providing responsive customer service to clients, and moving loans efficiently from approval to funding. The role may also support process improvements and help ensure adherence to regulatory and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in Loan Closing processes for commercial & residential (business-purpose) loans, with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
- Hands-on experience with Funding Loans, including preparing funding instructions, reviewing loan documents, and coordinating disbursements.
- Excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on clear communication, problem-solving, and maintaining professional relationships with clients and partners.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing legal and financial documents, with solid organizational and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of residential and commercial mortgage lending practices; familiarity with escrow, title, and regulatory requirements is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in West Los Angeles, CA, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Additional coursework or a degree in finance, business, or a related field is a plus.
- Proficiency with MS Office, email, digital records.
- Notary License and Spanish speaker is a plus.
