As a Regional Retirement Plan Counselor (RRPC), you are a key member of a Retirement Plan (RP) Territory Team, advancing retirement plan growth within a defined territory in support of North American Client Group (NACG) goals. Partnering closely with Retirement Plan Consultants (RPCs), Divisional RPCs (DRPCs), Internal RPCs (IRPCs), and other stakeholders, you help deliver coordinated, consultative coverage to financial advisors.

You are accountable for assigned offices and contribute to sales results, plan activity, and opportunity development through primarily virtual engagement and targeted in‑person interactions. Working within an integrated team model, you support territory planning, align messaging and priorities, and deliver research‑driven guidance on Capital Group retirement and investment solutions to help advisors better serve plan sponsors and participants.

You bring strong retirement plan expertise and apply it effectively in a team‑based coverage model to help advisors grow their practices.

  • You demonstrate a strong understanding of investment selection, asset allocation, and portfolio construction, and can apply these concepts to retirement plan discussions in an advisor‑facing environment.
  • You have a solid working knowledge of retirement plan terminology and the retirement marketplace, including ERISA requirements and advisor‑sold investment‑only (IO) platforms.
  • You are comfortable using technology to support analysis, virtual meetings, web conferences, and advisor presentations.
  • You have strong communication, relationship‑building, and consultative selling skills, and can engage advisors through phone, video, web, and in‑person meetings based on coverage strategy and advisor preference.
  • You are highly collaborative and work effectively with RPCs, DRPCs, IRPCs, and other partners to deliver consistent messaging and coordinated execution across the territory.
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree; preferred preference for one or more professional designations: AIF, AIFA, PPC, CIMA, CFA (or progress toward designation)
