Job Description

Position Overview

The Vice President will be a key member of the Private Equity Product Management and Investor Relations team, helping shape and execute the product management, fundraising and investor relations activities across Ares Private Equity strategies. The role sits at the center of fundraising execution, strategic content development, LP communications and investor engagement, ensuring the Private Equity group presents a clear, differentiated and technically rigorous view of its strategies, performance and value creation to the market and its investor base.
This role requires a polished private markets professional who combines investment fluency, strong project management, commercial judgment and exceptional analytical and communications skills to manage high-stakes deliverables in a fast-moving environment. The successful candidate will be a trusted partner to the senior leadership of the Private Equity group, the broader PE investment team and the Ares relationship management team, with the maturity to help drive fundraising priorities, ongoing and ad hoc investor servicing support of sophisticated LPs and represent the business credibly both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Help Drive Fundraising and Investor Engagement:
Play a central role in advancing fundraising and investor relations priorities by helping shape fundraising campaign strategies, preparing for LP and prospect meetings, developing targeted follow-up materials, coordinating diligence work streams and ensuring investors receive thoughtful, timely and commercially effective responses.
  • Own the Private Equity Product Narrative:
Lead the development and ongoing refinement of the core narrative for Ares Private Equity strategies, translating investment philosophy, portfolio construction, performance drivers, value creation priorities and market positioning into compelling, differentiated messaging for investors.
  • Lead Strategic Investor Content:
Drive the creation of high-caliber fundraising and investor materials, including pitchbooks, private placement memoranda, due diligence questionnaires, quarterly communications, case studies, white papers, social media posts and bespoke LP deliverables.
  • Serve as the Content Quarterback:
Set the standard for quality, consistency and precision across investor-facing materials, ensuring content is analytically sound, commercially sharp, technically accurate and appropriately tailored for sophisticated investors.
  • Translate Investment and Portfolio Insights:
Develop a deep command of strategy performance, portfolio company developments, fund-level considerations, co-investment activity, competitive positioning and broader market themes, and convert those inputs into crisp, persuasive, investor-ready content.
  • Advance Fundraising and Diligence Readiness:
Anticipate investor questions, identify messaging gaps, prepare senior leaders for investor interactions and lead the content and diligence work streams required to support active fundraising, continuation vehicles, co-investment processes and strategic client engagement.
  • Identifying and Implementing Process Improvements:
Strengthen the team’s operating model by improving processes, refining reporting and diligence templates, and identifying effective ways to leverage data, technology and AI to raise the quality, consistency and efficiency of product management deliverables.
Qualifications
