This is a full-time, on-site Business Development & Investor Relations Associate role based in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves identifying and cultivating relationships with institutional and qualified investors, conducting lead generation activities, and supporting capital-raising initiatives across EBAM’s strategies. The candidate will prepare and deliver marketing materials, presentations, and investor communications, and respond to ongoing information requests from current and prospective clients.
Day-to-day responsibilities include performing market research, tracking investor pipelines and activity in CRM systems, coordinating meetings and events, and collaborating with investment and operations teams to ensure accurate, timely reporting and messaging. The role also includes maintaining high standards of client service, gathering investor feedback, and helping refine EBAM’s positioning in the global credit and alternatives marketplace.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, performance metrics, and market trends.
- Excellent communication skills, including clear written communication, confident presentation capabilities, and effective interpersonal skills.
- Investor management skills, including prospecting, outreach, and pipeline management for institutional and qualified investors.
- Market research capabilities, such as analyzing industry dynamics, competitor positioning, and investor preferences.
- Investor relations skills, including responsiveness, relationship management, and a commitment to delivering a positive investor experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
- Experience in asset management, credit markets, alternative investments, or investor relations is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard office and analytics software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an entrepreneurial environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high ethical and professional standards.
