As an Associate Wealth Planner, you will support our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) and help our clients achieve their investment goals by providing thoughtful, rigorous research and analysis and guidance on wealth planning topics relevant to the high net worth and ultra-high net worth investor market segment.
Primary Responsibilities for our Wealth Advisory Associate:
- You will generate customized analyses for current and prospective clients covering Comprehensive Wealth Management topics including but not limited to:
Wealth Strategy Analyses (WSAs), Goals-based Planning Analysis, Roth Conversions, Insurance Needs Analysis, Tax-based Analysis Planning, Equity Compensation Analysis, etc. - You will meet with PWAs to understand the current/prospective clients' circumstances and goals (i.e., existing asset/account details, spending needs, tax situation, risk tolerance, time horizon)
- You have basic knowledge of asset allocation, tax, retirement and estate planning principles, internal Wealth Advisory Group (WAG) research, and quantitative analysis to create individual client recommendations based on their objectives and current situation.
- You can engage with teams, managers, and/or PWA in iterative reviews of analysis.
- You can review final analysis with PWA to ensure mutual understanding of assumptions, results, and key points.
- You will deliver final analyses to clients in a clear and engaging manner, using thoughtful, open-ended questions to confirm understanding and encourage meaningful discussion of key planning concepts.
Preferred Qualifications for the Wealth Advisory Associate II Position:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of relevant experience with intermediate knowledge of the financial services industry, including fiduciary practices, investment advisory services, and wealth planning.
- Familiarity with eMoney and Morningstar Direct
- Ability to remain composed and adaptable when navigating challenges and change.
- Polished, concise, and thoughtful communication with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to assess strengths and development opportunities, with a strong desire to learn and take on new challenges.
- Proven success working both collaboratively and independently.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills
- A strong interest in developing expertise in complex wealth planning topics.
- CFP, CFA, or Series 65 designation preferred (or in progress)
