Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are looking for an Investor Relations & Marketing Associate to join an alternative asset management business in Los Angeles, supporting investor relations, client service, reporting and marketing across a growing investment platform.

The business invests across strategies, spanning content and media rights as well as private equity investments in media, entertainment, communications and related sectors. Its investor base includes leading global institutional investors.

The role will sit within the Investor Relations & Marketing team and work closely with investment, finance, legal and other teams across the organization. You will support the day-to-day delivery of investor reporting and communications, respond to investor information requests and help maintain high-quality marketing materials across the platform.

This is an opportunity for an analytically strong candidate to gain broad exposure to institutional investor relations within alternative asset management, combining quantitative analysis with investor communication, client service and marketing responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:

You will support a broad range of investor relations, reporting and marketing activities across the firm’s investment strategies, including:

  • Preparing investor reporting covering capital activity, capital statements, individual and fund-level performance and portfolio data.
  • Analyzing and presenting investment performance metrics including IRR, MOIC, TVPI, DPI and yield.
  • Developing internal and external portfolio metrics, including capital deployment and dry powder analysis.
  • Updating investor presentations, factsheets, bespoke investor materials and other marketing collateral, including performance data, analysis and charts.
  • Coordinating responses to investor requests, including DDQs, RFIs, ESG/DEI requests and other standard and ad hoc requests for quantitative and written information.
  • Supporting ongoing client service and relationship management, including CRM tracking, investor capital account information and performance reporting.
  • Working cross-functionally with investment, finance, legal, value creation and other internal teams to gather and communicate relevant fund, portfolio and firm-level information.
  • Synthesizing data from multiple sources into clear, accurate and investor-ready analysis and materials.
  • Supporting the continued development and execution of investor relations and marketing processes, tools and workflows.
  • Contributing to broader firm marketing and public relations activities, including website and Linked In management, press releases, transaction announcements and other external communications.
Key requirements:

We are looking for someone with approximately 1–3 years of relevant experience in investor relations, client services, consulting, finance or a related field who combines strong analytical capabilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret, synthesize and clearly present financial and investment data.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with an ability to turn multiple data points and disparate sources into a clear narrative.
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining an understanding of the broader commercial context.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization.
  • Proficiency across relevant analytical and presentation tools, with experience using platforms such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A proactive and highly motivated working style, with an entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take ownership.
  • An interest in contributing to and developing within a growing investor relations and marketing function.

Due to the expected level of interest, we may not be able to respond to every application individually. We will contact candidates whose experience is most closely aligned with the brief.

We are committed to equal opportunity and do not discriminate on the basis of age, disability, gender identity, marital status, pregnancy/maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
