MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN A BANK OR CREDIT UNION OPENING ACCOUNTS AND TAKING IN CONSUMER LOAN APPLICATIONS FOR AUTO AND PERSONAL LOANS TO APPLY!

We are currently seeking an experienced Member Relationship Specialist II for a credit union located in Los Angeles, CA
!

Type: Full-time, temporary (6 months with possible extension)

Pay: $25-27/hr

Branch

Hours:

Monday - Friday: 9:00am - 6:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Conducting monthly cash counts, balancing debit/ATM card machines, and processing wire requests.
• Opening checking, savings, CD's. etc.
• Interviewing loan applicants, explaining the application process, and making recommendations.
• Discussing financing details such as rates, terms, and payments.
• Providing information on insurance programs and selling insurance and debt protection products.
• Evaluating consumer loan applications using credit scoring and lending judgment.
• Exploring alternative lending options with members.
• Collecting and verifying loan documentation like income verification and credit reports.
• Educating members on debt responsibilities and terms.
• Handling various account transactions (e.g., deceased accounts, trusts).
• Resolving complex member issues and documenting follow-ups.
• Processing individual membership applications and setting up accounts on the core system.
• Opening trust accounts and IRA share accounts and performing related transactions.

Requirements:

• 2 years of financial experience within a credit union or bank required!
• Previous experience opening new accounts and taking consumer loan applications required
• Symitar experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to handle a variety of customer requests including difficult customer situations
• Possess an enthusiastic and professional attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill
