The firm is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead all finance, accounting, treasury, tax, and compliance functions for the organization. This is a senior leadership role responsible for the financial infrastructure that supports day-to-day operations, stakeholder reporting, and firm-level strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate has deep experience in private investment or related financial services settings, is comfortable operating at both the strategic and hands-on level, and can serve as a trusted advisor to firm leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting & Accounting Oversee all accounting operations and financial statement preparation, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable GAAP standards. Serve as the primary point of accountability for the integrity of the firm's financial records.
  • Stakeholder Reporting Manage financial reporting and communications to firm leadership, partners, and other key stakeholders, including responding to due diligence requests as needed.
  • Treasury & Cash Management Own banking relationships, cash management, credit facilities, and liquidity planning across the organization.
  • Tax & Regulatory Compliance Coordinate with external tax advisors on all tax filings and planning matters, and maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements for the firm's business activities.
  • Audit & Controls Lead the annual audit process with external auditors and maintain strong internal financial controls across the organization.
  • Budgeting & Financial Strategy Own the firm's budgeting process and expense management; provide financial analysis, modeling, and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making by firm leadership.
  • Team Leadership & Systems Build and manage a finance and accounting team as the organization scales; select and oversee accounting/ERP systems and drive process improvement and automation.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, ideally including time in private equity or a related field
  • CPA strongly preferred; public accounting background (Big 4 or similar) a plus
  • Strong technical accounting background with experience across financial reporting, tax, treasury, and compliance
  • Prior experience managing external auditors, tax advisors, and other outside financial partners
  • Strong leadership skills with experience building and mentoring a finance team
  • High degree of discretion, integrity, and judgment given exposure to sensitive financial information
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA a plus
